Most of the time, we choose Laravel. Laravel is batteries included. We love it for its versatility, development speed, and robust out-of-the-box security features. It's a hugely popular choice for building web apps and has a large, dedicated community around it. It's also very well maintained, so long term support is a guarantee.
How do I know your solution will be secure?
Laravel provides a range of out-of-the box security features, including protection against SQL injection, cross-site request forgery, and cross-site scripting. It also offers secure authentication and authorisation, all of which are easy to extend and customise. When Novatura look after systems, we make sure to regularly monitor and apply patches to them, keeping things maintained, secure and performing well.
What can I integrate a bespoke dashboard with?
Bespoke dashboards can be integrated with pretty much any service that offers an API. We could even do spreadsheet/PDF imports or exports if they don't. This includes payment gateways like Stripe, email services like Postmark, accounting platforms like Xero and FreeAgent, or messaging apps like WhatsApp. The list goes on!
Who owns the software at the end of the project?
The systems we build at Novatura are typically unique and bespoke to your business. Ownership and intellectual property rights go to the client in these cases. If there's a real commercial opportunity to productise, that you weren't already considering we might discuss it with you up front. It's completely against our morals to convince you to pay for a licence to use software that we profited from building.

How do we know we won't be locked in to using you?
We understand that sometimes we have to go our separate ways. That's okay. We make sure the systems we create are built to last and kept in a maintainable state. When we hand over to a new supplier or an in-house team, we facilitate a smooth handover and provide migration support - as long as we're not re-hosting the system on their behalf, this is usually done free of charge!
